Math Help: Mean, Median, Mode, Range TEE HEE

Hey Everyone Today I’m going to be helping you with mean, median, mode and range ok so your probably wonder wht the heck is this?? Here It Goes:

Consider the set of numbers 80, 90, 90, 100, 85, 90. They could be math grades, for example.

The MEAN is the mathematical average, the average you are probably used
to finding for a set of numbers Tee Hee so you um.. add up the numbers and divide by how
many there are: (80 + 90 + 90 + 100 + 85 + 90) ÷ 6 = 89.16 THAT IS THE MEAN!!!! LOL

The MEDIAN is the number in the middle. In order to find the median,
you have to put the values in order from least to greatest, then find
the number that is exactly in the middle:

80 85 90 95 90 100
^ ^
since there is an even number of values, the MEDIAN is
between these two, so what you do is you divide by 2 because always if there is an even amount of numbers other wise if it is a odd number of values then it’s um.. that number so 90+95=185 and 185÷2=92.5 BTW its okay 2 have a decimal Tee Hee…

The MODE is the value that occurs most often. In this case,( 80, 90, 90, 100, 85, 90) since
there are 3 90′s, the mode is 90. A set of data can have more than one
mode.

The RANGE is the the lowest value subtracted from the largest value.
In this case 100 – 80 = 20, so the range is 20.

Math Help: Adding or Multiplying 2 different fractions together

I will show you how to add two fractions together write one equation then another or two
mixed number equations or improper fractions (doesn’t matter) write in 2 fractions
then add the numerator and denominator by the same number and VOILA u added a fraction!!
It’s the exact same with multiplying and dividing and BLAH BLAH BLAH it’s just.. U can’t have an answer
with decimals otherwise you might wanna change the number your adding multiplying dividing and BLAH BLAH BLAH by.

Help With Converting Decimals to Fractions

Hi pplz, I am gonna help you with converting decimals like dis:
Let’s think about why dividing by a whole number produces a smaller result.
Dividing 24 by 4 means I want to find out how many 4′s it takes to make 24.
If I have 24 sticks:

I can divide 24 by 4 by counting out 6 groups of 4 sticks:

|||| |||| |||| |||| |||| ||||
1 2 3 4 5 6
Since each group contains more than one stick, there are fewer groups than sticks.
24/4 = 6 smaller 6 x 4 = 24 bigger 6 Whole 1/4 = 25 bigger 24 x 1/4 = 6 smaller

Hey everyone I know I havn’t been on for a while sorry I was learning new things Tee Hee
ok so today we’ll talk about……wait for it….. RATIOS
your probably thinking radtios???? No, (rashee’os)
What is a rate? What is a ratio? Are all rates ratios, and are all ratios rates well, ratios are
very simple if you play sports like hockey or basketball this is a breeze. Ratios are pairs of numbers and they are used to make comparisons.
A ratio compares two numbers using a fraction. Ratios can be written
three different ways:

1) 2 to 3
2) 2:3
3) 2/3

They all mean the same thing. I have classmates of 22 students:
9 students are boys and 12 are girls. I can compare number of boys
to girls using the ratio 9:12 This ratio means the same thing as saying that for every 9 boys in my class, I
have 12 girls. You can “reduce” this fraction (remember, ratios are
comparisons using fractions) to 2/3 by dividing both numerator and
denominator by 5.

If anyone at your home bakes a lot, look at the recipes.Ratios are
all over these recipes that are very important! If you use too much sugar or not enough choco chips,
and the treats you cook/bake won’t be very yummy! Nobody wants a chocolate
chip cookie without enough chocolate chips!

Say you want to put a ratio like uh… 64:12 BTW you say sixty four TO twelve okay? Tee Hee
One way to look at 64:12 is as the fraction 64/12. That’s what is
called an “improper” fraction because its numerator is bigger than its
denominator, but it is still a perfectly good fraction. In fraction form: 64/12 is the same as 32/6, and
that is the same as 16/3. We cannot go any farther than that.
In terms of ratios, 64:12 equals 16:3. So this in my best ability is my explanation of ratios

Order Of Operations Math help

Ok we reviewed something we learned in 5TH 6TH or 7TH grade it’s called order of operations so this is the rule we must follow. It’s either BEDMAS or PEDMAS

Brackets

Exponents

Division (left to right)

Multiplucation (left to right)

Addition (left to right)

Subtraction (left to right). or instead of Brackets it’s Perentheses but they are the same thing.

here are some easy questions:

4 + 3 x 5 = ? the answers are at the bottom of the page. psst… multiplucation first!

How about a trickier problem? Well, if you remember BEMDAS, there really are no tricky problems. Here’s one that may look harder, but if we follow the BEMDAS order, the answer is easily found:

(4 + 3) x (5 – 2) + 7) ÷ 2 = ?

Start by solving the parts inside the BRACKETS:
(4 + 3) = 7 and (5 – 2) = 3
Then rewrite the equation:
(7 x 3 + 7) ÷ 2 = ?

Next do the multiplication inside the BRACKETS:
7 x 3 = 21
And again rewrite the equation:
(21 + 7) ÷ 2 = ?

Still inside the BRACKETS, do the ADDITION:
21 + 7 = 28
Rewrite the equation one last time:
28 ÷ 2 = ?
And finally perform the DIVISION to get the answer:
28 ÷ 2 = 14 So the answer is 14!

No tricks, just remember BEDMAS!

9 – 3 + 2 = ?

Remember addition goes first

if you didn’t get it here’s the answer first remember BEDMAS

or PEDMAS so thats 5 so 9-5=4 so the answer is 4 it’s as simple as that
